Trusted When It Matters Most
Emergencies don’t always happen when you’re home.

For one of our previous customers, a vacation was interrupted by the news that her irrigation system had failed, sending water into her basement. Fortunately, her house sitter discovered the excess water and notified her before the damage became even more extensive.

Having worked with us the previous year on an unrelated water damage claim, the homeowner knew exactly who to call. Because of the trust we had built through that experience, she felt comfortable providing us with access to her home while she remained out of town.

Our team responded immediately. We extracted the standing water, thoroughly dried the affected areas, and completed the necessary mold remediation to restore the basement to a safe, clean condition. Throughout the process, we kept the homeowner informed with updates, allowing her to focus on her vacation instead of worrying about her home.

By the time she returned home a few days later, the cleanup and mitigation were complete. Instead of arriving to a flooded basement and the stress of coordinating emergency services, she walked into a home that had already been professionally mitigated.

Fire Station Restored in Just 3 Weeks

Swift Response Restoration was called to a local fire station after a hidden sewage leak resulted in extensive water damage and mold growth in the kitchen and decontamination (decon) room.

To properly remediate the damage, our team removed affected cabinetry, drywall, and portions of the flooring. During the mitigation process, the station was unable to operate as normal. Firefighters had to temporarily relocate to two separate stations, reducing convenience and disrupting daily operations. With the kitchen and decon room out of service, restoring the station as quickly as possible became a top priority.

While mitigation was still underway, we worked directly with the insurance carrier to develop and secure approval for the reconstruction scope. Because planning began before mitigation was complete, we were able to start rebuilding the same week the remediation was finished, eliminating unnecessary delays between phases.

Our team committed all available resources to expedite the project while maintaining quality workmanship. From the first day of mitigation to the completion of reconstruction, the entire project was finished in just three weeks. A project of this size and complexity would typically take approximately four months to complete.

The result was a fully restored fire station that was able to return to normal operations far sooner than expected, allowing firefighters to return to their home station and continue serving the community.

Our commitment to exceptional service did not go unnoticed. In recognition of our efforts, the fire station presented Swift Response Restoration with the Business Of The Year award the following year for our outstanding work and dedication.

Commercial Surgery Center Water Damage: Keeping a Surgery Center Open After a Major Water Loss

On a Monday morning, Swift Response Restoration received an emergency call from a local surgery center after staff discovered extensive water damage that had occurred over the weekend. The cause of the loss was a failed dehumidification system.

Our team arrived on site within 30 minutes to begin water extraction, moisture mapping, and emergency drying procedures.

One of the surgery center’s biggest concerns was that their scheduled surgery day was only days away. Patients had already been scheduled, medical staff coordinated, and it was too late to postpone procedures without creating significant disruption. They asked if there was any safe way to keep the facility operational while mitigation was underway.

Fortunately, the operating room itself was not directly affected by the water loss. After a thorough inspection and moisture assessment, we developed a plan that allowed the facility to remain operational while maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.

To accomplish this, we installed a temporary commercial dehumidification system, operated HEPA air scrubbers throughout the affected areas, and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected all impacted floors and wall surfaces. Continuous monitoring and moisture testing were performed to ensure the environment remained safe throughout the process.

Because the operating rooms were confirmed to be unaffected and proper environmental controls were maintained, the surgery center was able to proceed with its scheduled procedures without interruption. Had there been any risk to patient safety, our recommendation would have been to postpone all surgeries immediately.

Once the surgery schedule was complete, we transitioned into the demolition and reconstruction phase to restore the affected portions of the building.

By working quickly, implementing effective containment and drying strategies, and prioritizing patient safety, Swift Response Restoration helped the facility avoid canceling a full day of surgeries. This saved the surgery center from significant operational disruption while ensuring patients received the care they needed in a safe, healthy environment.
